Well I chose to revise my College Essay, mostly because it is a personal experience and there was a few things wrong, gramatically (perusual). Its very easy to alter a personal story, such as this one because I've lived it. I can maybe recall things now that I didnt while writing it, or I now have the words to describe how i felt then that i didnt at the time of writing it.
I had a more clear perception of the situation I was in after thinking about what i had just written. The situation i had written about had happened almost ten years ago, of course I had started remember things a bit slowly. I also had brough some more writing techniques to the paper, to give it a bit more personality.
One thing i think almost everyone has to go back and fix, including myself, is gramatical errors. I had lots a' trouble staying in the right tense. I was talking as if i was in the present, in the past. It was a bit convoluting and took away from the story a bit, but its all better now.
One thing that really grinded my gears was fixing my "cleches" as Mr Weir put it. So i spent some time thinking about a more original way of explaining how i felt, instead of a hackneyed sort of phrasing.
